Your day begins in Cusco, where we pick you up at 3:00 AM for a scenic 3-hour drive via private van to the start of the trail. Upon arrival, you enjoy a hot breakfast to fuel up for the hike ahead. The hike to Rainbow Mountain takes approximately 1.5 hours, depending on your fitness level.
At the summit, you have time to enjoy snacks and take a well-deserved break while soaking in the breathtaking vistas. After about an hour, you begin your descent back to the trailhead. Following the hike, we drive for about an hour to enjoy a delicious lunch before departing back to Cusco. You arrive at your hotel around 3:00 PM, completing an unforgettable adventure.

The hike is considered moderate to difficult, primarily due to the high altitude. Therefore, we recommend that participants maintain a good level of fitness. However, don’t worry—there will be plenty of breaks along the way to rest and acclimatize as needed.
Rainbow Mountain rises to an altitude of 5,035 meters (16,520 feet) above sea level. To ensure a safer experience, it’s crucial to spend some time in Cusco before the tour. This will help you acclimatize to the high elevation and reduce the risk of altitude sickness.
We recommend bringing layered clothing to prepare for temperature changes, along with sturdy hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the stunning scenery. Additionally, don’t forget to pack a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the hike.
